Well, you can blame Spartan for that. I tried to stop them, but they outnumbered me

@ Max King of the Wild

Development generally starts at concept and cost a pittance (at that stage and in comparison to later stages), this can be done well before any coding and take anywhere from weeks to months.

KZ2 began development before E3 2005, though the number of staffs involved in the project at the time may be nowhere near the current GG capacity. I would say a 4 years cycle for this game is more than reasonable.

nas

no it isnt. that would mean they started before finishing the first if anything the psp version started then.

Killzone was release in November 04, concept of the sequal likely began after the first game went to retail I don't see any conflict, certainly a psp spinoff isn't going to take the entire GG team to complete.

Beginning of development could be as simple as concept design and storyboard, actual coding could be months if not a year away. I think our disagreement lies in the definition of 'development' here :).

They bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience

Well, no matter how much they spend on promo it won't do anything for me

and I can't see this become that HUGE in UK considering there are a lot of FPS in the market already, also the situation of PS3 in Uk atm.

Killzone 2, CSS, Left 4 Dead, Far Cry 2, Bioshock, COD4, HL2, Crysis are all just terrible shooters because their lack off co-op. They're a disgrace to the genre.

I see what you did there...

Oh, and not only does KZ2 not have co-op, it also doesn't have CoD4's controls button for button! And there's no toggle crouch!

It must suck
