World of Balance. I dislike it when games let you play as anyone, and so all the talking is simply anyone talking... not each person's personality.
World of Balance.
I hate that part in Final Fantasy games when you could actually go to the final dungeon, but you are still way too weak and should level up and find weapons/summons/whatever before you go, but nobody tells you how you achieve these things.
I am currently at this point in Final Fantasy V, or let's say I have been for more than a month now, but it annoys me to continue because I just don't feel like investing all these hours for exploring.
World of Balance was better as far as the places you got to see.
World of Ruin had most of the greatest moments in the game (Gau's Father, Locke and Setzer's loved ones, Cid's death, etc).
World of Balance. I didn't like the World of Ruin nearly as much to be honest. It's the reason I prefer FFIV to FFVI as my all time fave. The game starts to drag during the World of Ruin. After finished the game a couple of times, I'd play through the World of Balance only.

World of Balance.
Main reason... the branching quest point... where the characters split up and you follow all three parties.
I think that was an awesome thing... and something that is rarely explored in games because they feel the need to focus around one... often very generic character.
It lets each character shine.... vs other RPGS.
Where each character gets their moments... but there is always that main character looking over them and helping them out etc.

I liked Ruins a little better. The story really became great there. Most of the backstory is in Ruins. Plus the sheer amount of stuff to do is awesome.
