Seriously - as expected, all sites/figures are converging. Its common now for media sites to say that analysts got their figures from thesimsexchange (think that is right) - and where do people on there get their figures? Here...

I think you'll see more and more tricks from NPD in the future. They may stop releasing "public" figures at all (and contractually stop clients from releasing figures). All these sites must be hurting their business.

Cummon.... can't wait longer...

Definitely PS3 will be off the most of all platforms. I hope number listed by NPD will be higher than VGC but I'm prepered also for less optimistic reality...

Nah... since we have weekly data for all systems here waiting for NPD isn't the same anymore... Some months ago when people know nothing for whole month... yeah that was real madness... Bunkum ! Bunkum ! ! Tell us. We NEED to know !  Yeah, definitely it's not the same. PS3 below 200k? No way ! ! !

I've been doing a bunch of research today to see if NPD should be close to Vgchartz for July...

Here is what I dug up:

- PS3 sales sustained at 2x June weekly sales at least through the last week (Gamestop)

- Wii supply is increasing throughout the quarter... (Gamestop)

-   ...However, the tentative schedule provided by Nintendo to Gamestop suggests shortages will continue (Gamestop)

- No mention of Xbox 360 sales...probably flat on a weekly basis in the USA in July.  However, since the pricedrop Gamestop 360 sales have 'doubled' - no word on whether it will be sustained though (Gamestop)

- Halo 3 has a ridiculous number of pre-orders, Madden had an excellent first week (Gamestop)

Barring some unforseen development, I think NPD numbers should be very close to Vgchartz numbers, as our raw data (from what I have seen) generally coincides with what Sony and Gamestop have said about PS3 sell through.
