I just got mine back from sony repairs, took them like 3 days to repair it a ship it back. I had to pay 150 to them, it would be a fiasco if it takes more than a week to replace a freaking blue ray len... but I'm happy with my ps3 back in action.

I still think your uncertainty for paying to fix your 60 gig Launch console is insane..as I said above, I would have done it in a heartbeat...I may not have been excited about having to pay $150, but a 60 gig launch is easily worth it.

Have you checked on the extended warranty Squilliam spoke of yet?

If all else fails and you don't want it anymore, send it to me...I'll pay for shipping and then pay to have it fixed=P $200 for a 60 gig launch? *yank* =P

my friend had a problem like that... he cleaned off the dust and dusted all the ducts and it works fine now...
