I still think your uncertainty for paying to fix your 60 gig Launch console is insane..as I said above, I would have done it in a heartbeat...I may not have been excited about having to pay $150, but a 60 gig launch is easily worth it.
Have you checked on the extended warranty Squilliam spoke of yet?
If all else fails and you don't want it anymore, send it to me...I'll pay for shipping and then pay to have it fixed=P $200 for a 60 gig launch? *yank* =P
