Not atm no it isnt. But closer to launch. NJ5 is saying Killzone 2 SHOULD have a broader appeal than MGS4 .

Killzone 2 won't have broad appeal....its a gritty shooter....not Halo like....but a gritty kind of shooter.

No, for example I don't remember being sick about people talking up MGS4, while I'm definitely sick of hearing about KZ2 :P

OK maybe it's my memory playing tricks on me... But I definitely don't remember seeing so many animated gifs from MGS4, or people bringing it up in all kinds of situations. The thing with KZ2 hype is that it has been very prolonged, while MGS4's was more concentrated I think.

I'm thinking 2.7m by the end of the year.
Maybe 400-500k first week. This just isn't the type of game I see selling 4-5m on the PS3. Maybe on the 360's user base it could. Plus, there will be another FPS to steal it's hype and cut it's legs short since it's such and overdone genre. Only big games I see coming up for the PS3 that can pull of the type of numbers people here are suggesting is Final Fantasy 13 and Gran Turismo 5.
A game that ignores the PS3's Japanese user base is going to be limited.
@ Blazinhead - look, I will clarify my statement. The first KillZone was a flop. Everyone agrees on that. It was definitely no Halo killer. Now, what makes this game even better? Sure the visuals look awesome, but what other clues do folks have make this game to be the end-all. What features put this game into the league of COD, MGS and the like?
Seriously, when will it stop? Why does every single PS3 exclusive have to be hyped and re-hyped, only to see the hype train derail and hypebots scatter like roaches when the lights are cut on?
Reviews are one thing - and I should know. If the game sells, cool. Color me wrong. But if the hype suffocates the game's success, I wouldn't be shocked nor surprised.
I predict 1.2 million first week sales, 4.5 million YTD.
