MGO is underrated. It takes time to learn. Other than that, the only thing I have to add is that MGS4 is the culmination of greatness from the entire series.
I would say the only game with a chance of dethroning MGS4 that we know of right now is God of War III. If they do it extremely well. I'd rather have an awesome game in March 2010 than a rushed, pretty good game in November 2009, but an awesome game in 2009 would be perfect.
I would say KZ2 will become my second favourite PS3 game. Third will remain BioShock, third exclusive will still be Uncharted 1.
only in grahics, online and sales. MGS4 is still the best game of nxt gen till FF for me ^^

No game this generation will come even remotely close to MGS4. Killzone 2 will probably be amazing in its own right, but MGS4 will not be topped.
I hate these kind of comparisons , they are both excellent games from different genres... let's leave it at that.
In the immortal words of MC Hammer and in regards to Mgs 4, Killzone 2 "can't touch this". Yeah, I went there.....
I guess you'd have to play the first MGSs to enjoy the fourth.
MGS is mainly based on the story, the gameplay is meh. Either you like (love) the story of the series and you'll like (love) the game, or, as for me, it'll be a booooring game.
KZ2 is a solid FPS with great graphics. So the comparison has to be subjective.
God i hate fanboys, almost as much as they hate facts

Shooter games are the "casual" HD titles. MGS4 was pretty hardcore. Not many can sit through a story that introspective and cutscenes that long. You can't be too sure. I say wait and see. |
Not many can sit through those cut scenes, but they still might have purchased the game thanks to hype and tv commercials.
Like myself, unfortunately.
As much as MGS4 felt like massive fanservice to me story wise, I still think MGS4 will be a better game than KZ2.
I think KZ2 might pip it in graphics, but apparently it's got some technical hiccups, so for me MGS4 wins graphics.
Characters? Well, Killzone thus far reminds me of Battlefield:BC. Stereotypical army guys with loads of swearing and more macho than randy savage himself could handle. Snake was actually a hero you wanted to succeed, and he was much more human.
Online. MGO is a joke. Killzone 2 wins.
Gameplay. MGS4 easily. Killzone 2 feels like another solid shooter, which in the post Halo, CoD4 and Orange box world, is not particularly stunning. First person cover system is different, but I remain sceptical about how it'll play out in multiplayer.
Sales. Tough one. MGS4 will probably reign supreme, but I'm sure KZ2 will sell well in lifetime sales.
Winner: MGS4.
