Sony should teach 3rd parties how they do it,,,,their games look better and also performs better,,yet it doesn't need any installation.

Are you joking?  GT5-P takes up 6.3Gb for a mandtory install.  It isn't even the full game...

I think he means KZ2, bud. It doesn't have one while being the best looking game on a console.

and the problem is......?

PLAYSTATION®3

Mandatory installs is the best thing to ever come this generation, it means the game can be streamed faster and load times are severly decreased. Killzone 2 has no installs but they are load times and I have seen people bitch about there not being a mandatory install.

I want a gorgeous 50GB install for FFXIII, no load times at all and on one glorious 50GB blu-ray disc. ;)

We should bring back catridges huh?

There really isn't one :P People just want to bitch. All of this material has been repeated every time a game announces a mandatory install. This will not be the last time you or I see it I assure you.

From 0 to KICKASS in .stupid seconds.

I actually like mandatory installs. I have a 500 gig ps3 hard drive, and if its optional I do it anyway. If you complain about time then my god you're impatient. Go grab yourself a snack, by the time I'm usually making my self lunch it's 80 percent done and when I'm done eating ready to play.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

Edit : crap double post.

CURRENTLY PLAYING:  Warframe, Witcher 2

No problem for me, I say do whatever they will :P, I will still play it.

  • 2010 MUST Haves: WKC, Heavy Rain, GoWIII, Fable III, Mass Effect 2, Bayonetta, Darksiders, FFXIII, Alan Wake, No More Heroes 2, Fragile Dreams: FRotM, Trinity: SoZ, BFBC2.
  • Older Need To Buys: Super Mario Bros. Wii, Mario Kart Wii, Deadspace, Demon's Souls, Uncharted 2.

There is definitely more to list that I want, but that's my main focus there.

unbeliveable spin by PS3-fans here. Mandatory installs do not make a game better. Do you think Sony would allow mandatory installs if they were not necessary? Waiting 20 minutes before you can start the game is not great either.

Think about those lucky PS3 Users with the 20GB HDD. they can actually play 3 games like this at the same time...

Indeed we all know that once the data has been installed it cannot be deleted, we also all know that a HDD for the PS3 is overpriced like the 360 ones..........

If people cannot find 20 minutes to install the game it means they are pressed for time, something which gamers never are..........as your going to spend hours playing games. :/ Make yourself some tea, biscuits and crumpets in that 20 minutes. even go to the loo if you have to but the "have to wait 20 mins" line is just bullshit.

Speak for yourself please. I'm working 60 hours a week or so, so when I want to relax and play a game I don't really feel like waiting for 20 minutes. I'm sure I'm not the only one with a job that likes playing games...

You're trying to defend stuff that's really not worth defending.

Your always on this site when I come on, I find it hard to think you do not have enough time for a 20 minute install. Unless your one of those people who talk about games on forums then actually playing them.

Wow. Just wow.

BengaBenga, its the fanboy goggles.

*shitty image*

i don't care much for installs but it's only a one time pain in the ass.

if it's going to help the game in the long run in terms of load times then i'm all for it. in fact, i install all the games to my 360 HDD, too (because it's such a loud monster!).
