Anyway, Capcom is screwed if 5-6 million is their real expectation. They aren't going to hit it, they may not even come close, and they wouldn't have to put up numbers that big if they made the game playable on the Wii. HD development will be the death of gaming, I can see it now. Even the biggest companies, like EA, are struggling with the costs of these new machines, and a number of small devs have already died trying to produce just one HD game.

If you provide contrary information, it's your job to cite it not every other person's to research it. If it's not a claim you care to back up, then don't, but don't expect anyone to pay attention to you.
The rest of my rant was... not directed at you. Really, think about it. Do you think I would direct any of that at you? Maybe I should have put it at the bottom, or put an idiot-proof statement in there to make it clear it was comments made in general.

I didn't think the rant was at me, but I sort of wrote a drunken semi-response. But yeah, it just annoys me that people bother to type out a post saying I must be lying and require a source then just a quick google. Just me I guess, either way, it seems the rest of this thread are quick to forget the actual true Capcom expectations and just rant on about this 5 million figure that's been pulled from...somewhere.
I'm not really up for getting into the whole HD gaming will run companies dry thing but it's just another half-informed ignorant type rant that doesn't hold much substance. That's in my experience anyway, as a video game journalist, n all.

Mmmm, a bit of hyperbole on your part but I can see where you're coming from. The difference is I do ask company reps and employees and people with any sort of factual knowledge of this sort of thing about sales and profits, and while most of them don't give much away you get a good impression.
Either way, it's sleepy time for jammy. My lack of citations in what was a drunken forum post, is most likely because it was just that, a drunken forum post I expected not to see again. Anywho, I'm going off on a tangent, thankfully you won't be reading this cause you don't give a crap.
