I'm thinking about hunting down Link's Awakening

So have you gotten around to this yet?

It's the best Zelda ever.  It has everything.  And by that I mean even this guy.

It was the culmination of the 2-D Zelda before it had to start over in 3-D.

In fact, Zelda games seem to always follow the same trend as Mario games.

SMB1 and LoZ were groundbreaking.

SMB2 and Zelda 2 are completely amazing but always get the shaft like redheaded stepchildren for being too different and weird.

SMB3 and LTTP got the games back to their roots, and perfected the entire genres.

SMW and Link's Awakening picked up where those left off and just went in every perfect insane direction imaginable.

Around the Network

I never really liked Zelda games before it went 3D, I have an older brother and we mainly played a lot of co-op games way way back in the days and some JP RPGs where one would watch the other while not really understanding the Japanese text(had to use strat guides a lot lol, we lived in Asia at the time.)

We looked at Zelda(8-bit days) and went "wtfz...." but when N64 came and we picked up that game(in the US by then, English, zomg we can read and understand the text!) oh man, OoT was so good that it was ridiculous, then MMask, then Wind Waker which was fkn awesome because Link's facial expressions are just awesome funny( or cute, whichever.) I also liked TP as a true successor to OoT and put in a good 80 hours into it on the Wii (control was very tight.)

Now I can't wait for the next Zelda because I want to see what Miyamoto's crazy ass is up to. The End.

edit: never caught on to PH btw, I started it but haven't even attempted to finish it because I'm not digging the stylus control so much, so I'm not too excited about ST.

Zelda phantom hourglass is the best handheld zelda game ever made
i to was amazed about the fact of playing the entire game with just your stylus

i hate the combination of touch screen and buttons like in the pokemon games

Who's excited about Spirit Tracks!?

Yo, right here.

One step closer to a steam punk Zelda. Though whether that's a good or bad thing I couldn't tell you.

I just wish there was an option to play without the touch screen at all because there are some minor control issues sometimes.
