If this were right, then those same people would have issues with the DS, but they don't. Most people here love it and it's more of a JRPG and general japanese gaming machine than the Wii can ever hope to be. Think of a different reason, because this one doesn't hold much weight.

There are a lot of pc-gamers who whine about "games being dumbed down" because of the consoles. Why should PS360 fans be scared of wii's succes? You know, if there were some interesting games on wii we could just go and buy one. Since there aren't enough interesting games... oh well. :)

Also, you just admit (whether or not you realize it) that HD gamers are worried about losing games to the Wii, but then denied it later in the post.

We are already seeing devs shifting resources and games from HD development to the Wii. It will only snowball from here. Be afraid...

If you have a problem with my post, report it. Otherwise, shut up with your trolling accusations.

All I said was that pc gamers don't mind wii because there are quite few pc/wii multiplats. They don't have to worry about their games being dumbed down because of wii as much as hd-consoles. Sure thing, I will be very afraid. Too bad I can't buy a wii if it will some day have enough games for me to purchase one. So afraid. :(

Just so you know, DS started off pretty hated.

"Gimmick controls!"  "Non-games!" "Bad graphics!"

The reaction to Wii is pretty similar.

 



PC + Wii owners unite.  Our last-gen dying platforms have access to nearly every 90+ rated game this gen.  Building a PC that visually outperforms PS360 is cheap and easy.    Oct 7th 2010 predictions (made Dec 17th '08)

Sorry, but Monster Hunter 3 is a Wii exclusive, it's not going to be on the PSP.

I have a wii and enjoy it quite a bit. Where the game comes from really does not affect my enjoyment. I only care if the game is good, fun, and worth the time and money.

Plenty of Japanese gaming fans have objections to the wii as well. Not many because the wii will have Final Fantasy, Tales, and DQ games and for arguments sake KH3(I personally disagree).

But what about the fans of JP action games. Where are their DMC or DW like games on the Wii? What about racing sim fans or racing fans in general. The wii offers very little in terms of competent racing sims.

Mainly people who do not enjoy the wii to me seem as though they don't like the graphical downgrade, lack of key online features and weak horsepower.

None of that bothers me though :)

I love jrpg the most but Wii's current lineup doesn't attract me as a jrpg fan...

 

360 and PS3 has still the better games to offer jrpg at the present and future respectively.

 

oh and yeah PSP and DS :P

Good point. Further proof that Soriku's theory that the lack of western games is causing the hate is incorrect.
