Forums - Sales - First day sales in Japan (1/22) - Fragile, Left 4 Dead, Zill O'll

I cried.
Poor Fragile.
Such a promising game.
Only 16.000.
What's wrong with Japan?
Please bring it to the West.
Oh no, it's Namco.
I cried again.

I predicted 120k for Fragile (lifetime.) Not much hope of making it now...

Heh. Soriku was expecting it to outsell TOS :P

Wait, 16k in one day means it can't sell 120k in over 5 years? 120k is practically guarenteed.

Tell me how many games in Japan have a 7.5x multiplier over their first day? What about RPGs? "Practically guaranteed" is the wrong choice of words here.

Here we go again :P

50% of total shipment on day#1 is NOT bad. Blame the retailers more units were not ordered. If they get close to 100% shipment sellouts, the games are definite successes.

very disappointed on Fragile

I hope legs will be there...it deserves to be a success.

All hail the KING, Andrespetmonkey

45% sellout first day is "bomb" now?

I think that depends on how big the shipment was...

The "Haruhi (Wii)" game is a rythm game, the other "Haruhi" are novels...

 ..........
^Click on cards to level'em up!!!^ =D

It will be interesting to see Zill 0'll (PSP) first week sales. PS2 RPG sold 42,374 copies in its first week, and this straight port could come very close, which would be amazing.

*cries* oh no, not you as well shams! A sellout of the first shipment doesn't mean the game was a success. If Namco projected 500k units the game won't be a success even if a second shipment of 100k unit sells out as well.

Eh, Fragile wasn't that great of a game, anyway. The story and atmosphere were probably the only things the game had going for it. Gameplay was extremely basic and bored me to tears. Development probably took two years because of graphics... The game's chock full of graphical detail and every bit of it has its own story to tell if you've got an open mind.
