Forums - Gaming - What is the best non FF JRPG of all time?

There´s a lot of such games. Persona (all of them), Xenogears (good story, but game isn´t that good), Chrono Trigger, SMT: Nocturne, Digital Devil Saga (both of them, story related, it´s meaningles to play only one of them).

But it would be pretty hard, if I would choose only one. I had probably say Persona 3.

I don't see why FF is held in such high regard. I'd take Skies of Arcadia over them any day. That's easily my favourite JRPG, but I haven't had the fortune of playing Chrono Trigger, Secret of Mana or Mario RPG yet-I should have had chance to play them through by April.... So ask me again then?

I'm just curious

Don't you know what an emulator is? Don't you like them? Are you too busy to play this games?

I'm starting the second semester of my degree, so for now I'm too busy. I have Mario RPG and Secret of Mana on my Wii, and will be buying the DS release of Chrono Trigger. Plus I still need to finish No More Heroes and start Okami.

best and most innovative rpg of its time title have to be Panzer Dragoon Saga, too bad it only released a limit of 5000 copies(Ebay price around $200) in the U.S, that game is truly amazing.

My vote goes to Grandia 2

Xenogears and Chrono Trigger

I would put Secret of Mana up there aswell but I don't consider that game a RPG more of a adventure game.

If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing   (mostly)

Grandia 1 - Best Game Ever Made.
Really,I have had lots of great time with Jprg;s but this game is best.
Other would be Tales of Eternia for PSP.Or Secret Of Mana for Snes.
But thos 2 won't even come close compared to Grandia.
