Let's say that Insomniac, Naughty Dog and Sucker Punch completely abandon Ratchet, Jak and Sly Cooper in favor of Resistance, Uncharted and Infamous.  How would you react?

Ratchet dropped.. hurt =P
Jak... indifferent. It's not nearly as good as Ratchet.
Sly Cooper? never played beyond the demo that was on my copy of R&C 3. So I can't say.

Haven't Naughty Dog pretty much dropped Jak already? There hasn't been a Jak game this gen yet, and if one does come, it'd probably be Q4 2011 at the earliest, right near the end of the gen.

Have they announced that they're dropping the IP?

Whats sly and cooper??? I've never heard of that game let alone seen it.

I'd be disappointed with Insomniac. Resistance is nowhere near as good as Ratchet. And they have enough employees to make both.

I'd be happy with Naughty Dog. I know they don't have the manpower to make two series, and Uncharted is better than Jak could ever hope to be.

I never actually played Sly Cooper. It looks pretty cool, but inFamous looks better, so I wouldn't mind.

So really, the only one I would be annoyed about is the one that (definitely) won't happen

Uncharted > J & D

Infamous > Sly Cooper (Although I haven't played either)

And Resistance is probably slightly better than R & C. But I'd hate for them to drop R & C.

Uncharted > R&C > Resistance > Jak.

I can't put inFamous and Sly Cooper in, since I haven't played them, but I'd guess:

Uncharted > inFamous > R&C > Resistance > Jak > Sly Cooper.

It would be a shame for R&C to go, even though I've only played the PS3 games, they are really good. I would actually go so far as to say that they should drop Resistance before R&C, as R&C is slightly better IMO.
I don't care about J&D and SC, I haven't played any of them.

IMO Jak & Daxter > Sly Cooper > Uncharted > Resistance > Ratchet & Clank

InFamous will probably be above or under Uncharted.
