Chemical zone has cool music, but to play Casino is better

Wow sonic is just to GOOD, Ice cap zone is my fav though

This, 2D platforming reached it's pinacle when this level was written to ROM.

Sonic 1... Star Light and Spring Yard

Sonic 2... Chemical Plant, Aquatic Ruin (one of my favorite in the whole series), Oil Ocean and Death Egg. Fighting metal sonic and that huge Dr. Robotnik mech felt so epic at the time.

Sonic 3... Ice Cap (Sonic + Snowboard = 'tude + Win) and the Marble something zone. That Zone is my favorite zone in the whole series.

Sonic & Knuckles... reject Sonic 3 levels imo. The first time any core Sonic game was worse than the one before it.

 Hehe...lots of people consider Sonic and Knuckles as the best one. Including me...

I can accept that solely because Sonic 3 = the best, so even reject Sonic 3 levels are amazing.  The marble zone from Sonic 3 = pure win though.  Plus Ice Cap and Hill Zone should get a nod if only because of how staying "high" in the level was like playing a totally different stage than the default route.

On a side note, does anyone remember the commercials that clearly showed Sonic snowboarding from a behind the back perspective?  I remember playing Ice Cap zone for hours on end try to stay abrove ground but I could never access that.  Was the commercial a lie or is their actually a snowboarding section that last longer than the 5 second secong at the beginning of act 1?

Sonic 3 is great...but too short. Bosses are kinda straightforward too in sonic 3.  Like the last boss was so anti-climactic...

Sonic 3 + Knuckles however is still in the top 5 of best games ever. When I learned you can become Hyper sonic with these 2 games together...oh man...I was so psyched.

Sonic 1............ starlight zone, super fast, super fun

Sonic 2........... mystic cave zone, i like the music, suits the level well

Sonic 3......... ice cap zone, great levels, lenghty, snowy and a great song.

Sonic and knuckles ooh, a tough one, equal first, sky sanctuary zone and death egg zones

Also in sonic and knuckles the doomsday zone is fantastic.

They pay tribute to doomsday zone in sonic unleashed, those who got near the end know what i mean.

Honourable mention............... i really like the music in flying battery zone 1 & 2
