@Esmoreit: That was a good one. Before i was familiar with the meaning of "bomb", how we tend to use it, i thought it describes the explosive effect of a bomb. Which, btw, is how it's used in finnish.

Everyone seems to have taken all the other ones, so I guess I'll go with fad.
I'm also quite sick of hearing Fanboy tossed around properly and improperly. And even when its properly used it annoys the hell out of me. Most people using it are not boys but teens. And then still, fanteens will wear out think too soon aswell. So I'd say, scrap the term all together and let's call eachother fantards in general. Tards always has a more funnier tone.
