Have ever bought more than one of a console? Why?
In my opinion buying the same system twice is only acceptable if yours have brake and can't be fixed.

I bought three playstation 2 (one for my mum's house, another for my father's and the last one for my bedroom), two psone (mum's, dad's) and I'll probably get a PSP3k when a big japanese exclusive will be available in europe (probably dissidia).
Yup I have two GBAs one because my sister would constantly want to use mine and I couldn't stand it. I had two PSXs, one was modded and one was not (so again when sister wanted to play something like DDR imports while I wanted to play my RPGs we wouldn't have problems) I also have a PS2 fat and slim..the fat one is used mainly for the hdd to play ffxi. Back when my brother still lived in house we had two fat ps2s so that we could both play online at the same time (two tvs in same room) and we had 2 DCs and 2 N64s. I've been very tempted to buy a second wii for the house too for the very same reason as my sister hogs it but now that I've recently been playing the ps3 a bit more with socom and the like I've lost that feeling haha...although I promised her one when she takes off for college.

Bought a PS2 just for San Andreas. Traded it in a week later after being bored. Then bought a pre-owned slimline just for Shadow of the Colossus. After I completed it, I returned it (R.I.P. GAME's 10 day return policy if you don't like the game lol). Had a DS fat and traded it for DSlite, which I then sold, but bought back again months later coz I missed it. And finally, I traded in my Wii after a relationship ended and I wanted money. Then bought it back when I ended up missing it a few months later lol.

ive had 3 360s too if it counts that they broke and i needed new ones?
Yeah i bought 2 GBA back in the day because my first one broke. And i have bought 3 360's so far. Damn RROD killed off my first one and i didnt wanna wait to get it fixed abut i eventually did and sold it to a buddy and now i have 2 360's so i can lan with my self lol
