Crysis warhead came out this year.

And no Darth it's not your fault that they named the award that. It's theirs. And it's their fault they didn't give the award to the game that lives up to the name of the award in spades. If I give out a "Best Athlete" award and then give it to some crippled kid over Michael Jordan because the kid's got heart, that doesn't mean he's the better athlete, it means I'm a dumbass that doesn't take the award seriously. Either they should change the award, create a different award, or not be numb nuts when they choose the winner.

Why should I topic with old pics of the conduit be locked? Without context there is no reason that should be locked.

I don't think any console manufacturer would be into the tech arms race any more. Look at how the wii is selling. That means that ps360 graphics would be good enough for a VERY LONG time

I don't think PS4 and neXtBox will be able to handle it. They won't pursue a massive jump into high end again. There will be no >$300 consoles on the market.

Wii proved that is not where the cash cows are. Console gaming does not *need* to be at the peak of PC Gaming technology to be highly profitable.

I would expect the next two from MSony to be 2-3 times more powerful than current vs 7-10. Nintendo will probably still be lower tech but, above PS360 levels.

On my PC, if I turn all the settings to max on crysis the game doesn't look to far from that video. But I only get 1 Fps

The problem is that awards are given once, however Crysis so pushed the envelope its still ahead of most PCs. In truth until a better engine hits the market Crysis could win the award every year in a row, so they need to find some reason to give it elsewhere.

MGS looks lovely, but its still miles behind Crysis engine.



Try to be reasonable... its easier than you think...

Well, they're not going to give it to the same engine twice, are they?

It would be like giving Muppets No Country For Old Men (No Country For Old Men with Muppets as the characters) the Oscar for Best Film this year.
