CGI: it's not a big deal, heh. I should have assumed sarcasm because you seem to be level headed. I'd also guess you to pick Heavy Rain for goty. The clues were there for me...

Not bad, but the graphics were disappointing, the frame rate wasn't great and the shooting needed a bit more polish.

It was good, it was scary, it had a nice atmosphere, but as a shooter, it was bad.

I agree Kantor, but I thought graphics were good ^^ Frankly, the demo was boring (but I'm not a FEAR fan ...)

I'll go play it now. I liked the first one on PS3 despite all the reports of it being so inferior to the PC and 360 versions (was first PS3 game for guys that ported it).

You know, IGN had a VC review a day before it released, GameSpot didn't have one until three weeks after its release.

They get review copies, they get more hits than any other gaming website, what the hell do they do for all this time?

Yeah, but they have almost no reviewers.  After Gerstmann-gate, most people left.

As for the GotY discussion, I don't think it will win many.  Most people ignore games that release early in the year for GotY, the exception being GTAIV, with it's legendary hype.

Look at God of War II.  It was completely ignored at the end of 2007.
