That game would be amazing. Could use the battles from the film/books etc along with the ones from the other history what Tolkien wrote.

Lord of the Rings is my favorite book, although the movies are awful.  It's more that the actual game (The Third Age) is made to be as unbelievably boring as possible.

Agreed that the book > film but the film still deserves some credit. anyway... the locations in TTA did it for me. and was a quite quick game to finish. The balrog fight looked kinda epic thinking back...

I really enjoy Lord of the Rings Online.

But you are right... the last good non-MMO LOTR game was BFME2. I would love a LOTR Total War type game... half TBS half RTS... awesomeness it would be!

I like the books and movies differently in their own ways... though sometimes I feel I like some of Tolkien's other works more than Lord of the Rings anyway, even though most of them are not really "finished"...

I love TLotR: Battle of Middle Earth 1 and 2

While these 2 games aren't groundbreaking, I found them pretty fun to play
