I still fail to see why 1.5 million sales in a month or two for Tomb Raider is bad, especially since it hasn't been big since the Playstation days. What was Eidos expecting anyways? Ahh well, no big loss.

It's not like the Underworld has sold terribly in the time it's been out. Over a million in total in 10 weeks? It's not like the sales have stopped, although they're slowing. And it's still yet to be released on PS2.
maybe HD development really is stupidly expensive. or maybe they were in debt and really needed this game to be a run away success

I thought they were already bought by Square....
So that was just a rumor?

Square-Enix-Eidos ?
Square-Enix were supposedly snooping around but they were seen as the 'underdogs' for a takeover.
Warner Bros are generally accepted as the 'favourites' to take over, but that could just be because they own 20% of the company already and have no real foundations.

Squareos!
Who cares what happens to Eidos anyways, they haven't done much worthwhile the past 2-3 years imo.
Hrm, I'm interested in seeing who it will be. I'd be surprised at square enix as i just feel they're pretty small still.
I'm surprised that Eidos hasn't been bought ages ago already.
It's just a matter of time before Eidos, ATARI and maybe even SEGA will be swallowed by one of the big 4 third party publishers (EA, Activision, Ubisoft and Take Two).
Codemasters on the other hand, I don't think anyone wants to buy them, because their niche is to develop and publish mostly low budget crappy games.
@ slimebeast Edios and Atari maybe but id say sega is at least as big as capcom
