That's a considerable overstepping of boundaries. At the very very very least a parent needs to be asked for consent before conducting a strip search on a 13 year old for IBprofen. What they did is insane.

If that was my daughter they did that to, they would be staring into the barrel of my shotgun, thats for damn sure. School officials do not have the authority nor the right to do that. They are not the law and they need to get it throught there thick skulls.

Emptying out your pockets is one thing, but this, this is ridiculous and I hope the three officials at the school are charged and recieve jail time.

The idea of strip-searching a 13-year-old over having an over-the-counter medication on hand is ridiculous. I'm glad that the "man in charge" is getting his ass sued off for once...

Tell ya guys this, if the supreme court should overrule the verdict in favour of the school, than the US has truly lost it's grip on where right and wrong cross.

And all this for some medicine that you can buy with prescription? What the hell was the principle thinking? The thought that schools have policies against bringing in medicine is really disturbing, but to take such drastic actions against an honour student? That really casts a shadow.

And don't give me the lecture that this is for the childrens safety, that's bs. All around the world schools have similar problems but solve them in better ways, without depriving students of their primary rights.

I'd like to see one of my teachers conduct a strip search on me. There'd be one hell of a ruckus.

If thy tried that shit on me, there would definitely be a few bloody noses, missing teeth, and ruptured scrotums...

If anybody makes my kids get naked at school, I'd have to clobber them with all my might.

My school was pretty bad, and for some reason they were convinced I was constantly on drugs, so they were always having drug dogs sniff our lockers and backpacks, and would single me out to empty my backpack and get all pissed off when they didn't find anything. The dean even tasted my soda one day to make sure I hadn't spiked it. They searched my coat and backpack, but never made me take my shirt or pants off, and if they did, I wouldn't have been expelled for having drugs, I would've been expelled for kicking the dean's ass and ripping his stupid moustache off.

This is ridiculous.

ooo ibuprfen if she takes like 30 of them she is gonna feel... well... like shit really.

A. ibuprofen isn't exactly the kind of drug you take for kicks.
b. It's harmless, you can take loads of them and still be fine.
c. since when is it illegal to have ibuprofen in school.

I think considering the drug any kind of search should be questioned, even asking her is too far because she may use them for personal reasons e.g; she's having bad period.
