Bah, world of goo is better. Very innovative & fun game. Everybody should try it.

I wouldn't have minded if they'd given it to LBP. Yes, I think MGS4 wholeheartedly deserved it, but LBP would be rooting for the underdog, giving the award to a first project, and what a first project it was. LBP is an excellent game.

Fallout 3...what the hell? It's not as good as MGS4 OR as original as LBP. Oh, and before I'm labelled a fanboy who only likes exclusives, I should point out that I think BioShock > LBP. But it was released last year.

I am sorely disappointed. I am clinging onto the hope that they are going to release another video saying "Just kidding, it was MGS".

Meh, better Fallout 3 than GTA4...

MGS4 > LBP > Fallout 3 > L4D > GTA4.

Fallout 3 is a good game, but..
MGS4 deserved it in my opinion.

While I can completely and totally agree Fallout 3 deserves high praise, game of the year is quite the stretch. Other games deserved it a bit more, although at the moment I can't put my finger on them.

Yeah im pretty mad :d, I think im in love with gamespot. I just saw their game of the year VIDEO. When they talked about MGS4 i was like YEAH YOU TELL EM!

Its the best game ive played, I got fallout 3 atm on PC. Tbh all  i want to do is kill everyone in vaulve 101 >.< I shot the overdude but the game itself is boring in my eyes. Was rock solid 1 hour, on my 3rd hour it got yawny* But im not going to say everyone that liked it are fanboys/ the game has alot of flaws. The flaws in your opinion could be stuff we really liked. For instance : 'To many cutscenes' , Thanks to the cutscenes the game kicks ass imo. And id GLADLY play alot of other games that has this much cutscenes as i NEVER get the feeling of beeing watching a movie. I got to play every damn part i went *Wauw* on.

I really like Fallout 3, but it's too buggy and the main quest ends way to abruptly (hello DLC that removes it and adds more levels) for it to be GOTY for me.

GOTY for me means a great game, that's very polished in terms of stability, that innovates and stands out.

Fallout 3 is great, but it doesn't check the markers that make up my criteria.
