For 2D Sonic: Sonic 3 & Knuckles, the combination game between Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles. If the Sonic collection you speak of is Sonic Mega Collection, you have to play Sonic 3 and Sonic & Knuckles 20 times each to unlock it (easy enough, as soon as you initialize the game, simply exit it, you can have it done in 15 minutes for the best Sonic available)

For 3D Sonic: Sonic Adventure 2. Accept no substitutes

Monster Hunter: pissing me off since 2010.

Id agree with Mr Khan. Sonic3 + Knuckles was amazing.
As for the rest...The Sonic2 final Boss fight for me was the best boss fight from all Sonic games
Sonic1 was the first game i ever played. and its stood by me forever

As for your actual title of the thread... the sonic in my picture is the best

Sonic The Hedgehog 3

Sonic 3 + Sonic and Knuckles. Nothing comes close.

Im going out on a limb here and saying Sonic 2. Also, what would be your guy's opinion on the hardest Sonic game??

"Pier was a chef, a gifted and respected chef who made millions selling his dishes to the residents of New York City and Boston, he even had a famous jingle playing in those cities that everyone knew by heart. He also had a restaurant in Los Angeles, but not expecting LA to have such a massive population he only used his name on that restaurant and left it to his least capable and cheapest chefs. While his New York restaurant sold kobe beef for $100 and his Boston restaurant sold lobster for $50, his LA restaurant sold cheap hotdogs for $30. Initially these hot dogs sold fairly well because residents of los angeles were starving for good food and hoped that the famous name would denote a high quality, but most were disappointed with what they ate. Seeing the success of his cheap hot dogs in LA, Pier thought "why bother giving Los Angeles quality meats when I can oversell them on cheap hotdogs forever, and since I don't care about the product anyways, why bother advertising them? So Pier continued to only sell cheap hotdogs in LA and was surprised to see that they no longer sold. Pier's conclusion? Residents of Los Angeles don't like food."

"The so-called "hardcore" gamer is a marketing brainwashed, innovation shunting, self-righteous idiot who pays videogame makers far too much money than what is delivered."

For me it was Sonic CD than Sonic Adventure(DC).

You wanna have your opinion, then you have to respect different opinions as well.

Sonic the Hedgehog 2 but Sonic Advance was pretty good too.

Pixel Art can be fun.

Blue Sphere mini game. Sonic the Hedgehog 1 with sonic and knuckles locked on top. OMG that was so addicting with over 100 million differen stages. Best Ever !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My favorite game of all time happens to be Sonic & Knuckles. It's the fantastic ending to the Saga that Sonic 2 started with the Death Egg, and wow what an ending. I'd have to disagree with Carl in that S&K's final boss completely decimates Sonic 2's final encounter with Robotnik (you know you have a classic Sonic game when they call him Robotnik ).

Plus, Sonic & Knuckles holds my favorite video game moment of all time: Sky Sanctuary Zone. The music, the atmosphere, the boss... it's just comes together to create something truly magical.

Good stuff.
