Well this could also work out in Sony's favor as well, cause say Sony decides to do a price cut around the time it gets released later in the year. They could very well see an bigger increase in sales than if it were to come earlier.

I've never been so sure about the money-hatting thing in this case... The only (?) SE-developed game, The Last Remnant, will make its appearance on all powerful systems and the only 360 exclusives are only published, not developed, by SE. On the other hand SE was almost forced to make a multiplatform release to make profit. They didn't want to anger the staff but had to do so; that, however, is why Versus is still a PS3 exclusive: even XIII was pretty much and it's probably been more expensive than Versus so they didn't feel it would be a good move. Or something. Makes sense to me anyway.

And I do blame the 360 version, though. Not M$ but the 360 version. They've stated they want to shorten the intervals and this certainly doesn't seem like that; the only good explanation seems to be the 360 version. Naturally they want a simultaneous release, too, as we all know what would happen to the sales otherwise.

Lighten up, the article is just speculation.  It's certainly quite plausible but there is no evidence, at least from reading the article.

I think Iwata's wording of it being released after April 2010 make this theory more plausible than the 360 port being the delay.

I'm sorry, i thought this was a "Gaming Discussion" Forum. At least that's what it says at the top of the page. If "real news" is what you are looking for, maybe try CNN?

I for one will always blame MS for the delay to this game... They should not be allowed to throw their money around like a baby with a rattle just to get what they want...

I won't post it here because I'm tired of doing so but Square shortening the intervals is complete BS. They have yet to do a simultaneous launch yet. Not even their DS and PSP titles get simultaneous launches.

This is so much facepalm. Fanboys have no sense of logic or reason only blind hatred. This is fucking idiotic (the blame of MS). There are a billion and one reasons why it would be coming out months later in the US and europe, but fanboys just zero in on the most inane illogical one that alows them to blame some enemy. The real baby with a rattle is the fucking fanboys that expect everything to be delivered now now now and blame anyone no matter how stupid it is.
