Indeed, that seems to be the case. Further, if it's good enough for Metacritic, it's good enough for most folk, and this review is already on Metacritic. Sure, it may not be a high-profile gaming site, but it is a gaming site

The problem here is that we have seen a number of companies putting very, very much focus on not allowing any negative reviews before the game is released. The fact that a noname gaming site recieves a copy before IGN does could very well be because it's easier to lean on them than IGN.

In case people haven't noticed, the absolutely most crucial day for these games is day 1. If the audience only has positive previews and positive reviews to go on then (because companies keeps tight control over those) the game is likely to sell very well that first day, and later negative reviews doesn't harm them as much.

I might be off the mark here, Killzone 2 is likely a very high quality game (as I've said numerous times before). I just agree with Disolitude's sceptisism about reviews coming in before the game is released, especially if the reviews come from noname sources.

Also, that comment for gears 2 is pure fanboy thread. Why didn't he use Uncharted as gears 2 smokes Uncharted. Gears 2 isnt even the same genre as killzone 2... that comment is just out of place for an actual unbiased reviewer.

No, we should. It drives the haters nuts. I get a lot of amusement from PS3 non-owners that deliberately visit a Sony Discussion Forum to complain about how much the Sony owners talk about their anticipation of Killzone 2.

We need a thread for every review! The more, the merrier.

I actually want to retract the statement that Guerrilla games wrote this. Im sure they had nothing to do with this. Its just bunch of crazed ps3 fans i bet...

You know that there is no way any game can live up to that much hype. This will firmly cement the ps3 as the hype machine for this gen.

By doing this, you can have an amazing game but it will always be "not as good as people made it seem".

While I agree with you on its seems fishy they get their review out early, I called you a fanboy because you said GG prolly wrote it. But since you retracted your statement it cool

Halo 3 is ten times better than any CoD. Hell, once Bungie gets their render farms up and running, I will probably never see the light of day again. I put Halo 3 up there with Quake 1/2, Tribes, UT, TF Quake mod(not that Source shite), in terms of shear enjoyment value. And I rocked hard at all of those games.
