again, blood-tears, why is NPD assumed to be right? Why are they not under tracking by 900k?

Just like last year, wait for Nintendo to announce shipments. It won't be that much more than sold.

It's alright to acknowledge an accomplishment.  It is not alright to use it to put down another one.  Now if the Wii one was like that and showed disrespect to the PS2 and its accomplishments, then it should be put down.  I don't remember the first post in that thread so I can't say if it was deserved.  If it's anything like this one, then yea it should get tanked.

all I need is a 60K re-adjustment to wii for this to be right

even if NPD under-tracked by 900K something they have never done in their history I am sure of....then I am wrong

Depends how they are stated.  If they are saying Sony is doomed and they are going to die because of it, then this is just silly fanboy bias.  If they use sales and revenue comparisons to show that Sony is not performing as expected or less from last year and then gives a bried outline of a possible future from that, then that's fine. 

The difference is always going to be how its presented and it has to deal with respect and justification.  I think it's easy to tell what is and what isn't respectful/justified. 

There is nothing wrong with debate about things that are tender subject matters.  But there is something wrong when things that are negative or positive about something are used to disrespect something else for one's own self-interest and bias.  That should clearly be known to any human that it isn't right.
