Forums - Nintendo - Monster Hunter G Wii is not coming to North America, features pay-to-play online

I understand why it's not coming to the West (you Americans think the world revolves around America, there's also a thing called Europe you know).

Oh please, the statement says MHG isn't coming to the US, so of course that is what we are talking about. Certainly that lowers the chance it will make it to "others", but to suggest that we are being Amerocentric is just silly.

They want it to be bigger, but refuses to release the prequel to the "big" release... If they release the prequel at a budget price, with a demo, and a bundle with that (damn looking good) classic controller (basically what they are doing in Japan) they could prepare a fanbase the MH3. Damn Capcom.

oh well. Guess I'll just have to wait for MH3:Tri.

This sucks but we better get MH3.

Support good third party games on wii. Buy games like house of the dead overkill, de blob, madworld, the conduit and boom blox.

Did you also know that there are places outside of Europe and America! I know, I just found out last week myself and, boy, is my mind blown!

(note: though being reflexively anti-American is fashionable in a large faction of European society, could you please at least be marginally reasonable and vent it somewhere else? Thanks.)

Well I knew MHG wouldn't come over haha. MH3 is a different story though.

Wow. That may be the worst possible thing Capcom could do to this game! Pay to play?

Freaking ridiculous.

They're probably trying to get a lot of cash. Japanese gamers won't be able to resist that CC and the MH3 demo... X_X

Though I can see Japanese people buying it only for the demo.

Also, once MH3 comes over I doubt they'll do a pay to play thing. I mean they want to attract new users, right...doing a pay to play thing would kill some sales.

It'd would be a huge turn off being that you play the PS2 and PSP games online, for free and it's a cheaper entry price.

But they don't have a cool controller and a MH3 demo, do they?

This is just a quick way to get money. And it is pretty smart. They won't pull the same thing with MH3 at least.

If (when) people buy this and its successful, why in the world would they not do it. It's clear Capcom likes being cheap with the Wii userbase.

It's a good business move, but it's bad for gamers.

Wow, talking about a short temper. You Americans take things way too seriously.
