majoras mask and terranigma are my top picks, but i have to say tetris, its realy a universal game, has a great dificulty, but its so easy to play and has being in almost every console

Tetris : Anyone can play, though not everyone can master. A 20+ year old version of Tetris still holds up today. It has been on almost every concievable console, computer, handheld since its creation, yet it still sells every time it is released.

It is the most universal of all video games, for non gamers to the most hardcore. Almost everyone has played it for hours on end.

2D Mario games also should be mentioned for the same reasons.
