Yups, after seeing WKC sales in JP eclipse this game's WW sales, I would hope that JRPG developers would use their noggins and multi-plat games.  This game should have been that since the beginning, as should have TLR, IU, and ES.


But oh well, guess they've learned their lesson.

 

I agree that JRPGs as well as all 3rd party games should be multiplat, as long as they can afford it and it doesn't come at the cost of quality, which we know Square and Namco can. This is good for both the gamer and the developer. I don't even care if the game is a timed exclusive and I have to wait 6months to a year to get it on my platform for full price, as long as it comes to the system I have.

OFT. OFT ten fold. This game deserved well over a million sales. I don't understandwhy it didn't sell?....TLR and Infinite Undiscovery sold well, and they aren't even near as good as Vesperia.

 

 

Because all the 360 userbase likes is realistic games -_- They don't give games like this a chance. If they made ToV realistic (a far cry from other Tales games) or at least have CG scenes like ToH it probably would've sold well.

Shame.

At least the Wii sells these games well. DotNW is on its way to 500k and that's a spin off. Can't wait to see how a main Tales game does.

 

Smaller budgets too. Well, namco learned its lesson and hopefully all the non handheld tales game will be wii. I bet if all the other bi 360 rpgs and VC were on wii, the companies would have made a much larger profit. With DQ X though, I expect the trend to be wii rpgs.

The problem is Dragon Quest X won't be coming out until late 2010, and I'm being optimistic.

Such a shame. Its not like the 360 can't sell RPG's, I mean look at fable, fallout and LO. I guess the cel l shaded art style really put people off. If they release it in the rest of the world they should be able to profit from it however.

I agree. Also, WKC should be released on the Xbox 360. Even if Sony paid for it...honestly they need the money.

Either way, I find it very unlikely that WKC could ever actually be as good as ToV, but then again, only someone like myself would be qualified to make that kind of judgement, imho.

WKC should be released for PS360 in the west I agree to mazimise sales

but in Japan it can do without a 360 release definetely.
