Isnt it wierd. The wii stops selling uberly this week and people are questioning the wii sales. God people it's 1 week. It will dominate all year as usual.

Jeez.

Wii still beat everything except the DS

what i said a few weeks ago is turning out to be right. i said the 360 was gonna drop way harder than ps3 and my reason was probably right aswell. due to the price of the 360 and it was obviously the holiday time, a bulk of the sales came from parents looking for the cheapest console and the 360 was shining out like a star! now that the holiday is over you will get mostly hardcore gamers purchasing it. which is why it will drop harder than ps3. still good sales all round though!

ZOMG! The Wii had negative sales! iSuppli were right!

On a more serious note, sadly a huge drop for all consoles. But 360 is closer to Wii than PS3, and that's just odd.

Hope the numbers are right. This is a great way to start the new year. PS3 + 360 > Wii. If this continues, and Sony and MS indeed drop the prices of both systems at some point this year then Nintendo may be forced to drop the price of the Wii. I just don't see it possible for Nintendo to reach 50% market share with;

360

Arcade - $179
Pro - $249
Elite -$349

PS3

80GB -$299
160GB -$399

Hopefully Sony and MS will hit these prices, and I think the times Pachter stated are very possible. The most important thing for Sony will be making sure that they have a PS3 on the market that they are making money off of. That is why I put the 160GB still on the market. This stratagy may be the best path they can take in the future, and I don't know why it has not been brought up in PS3 price drop arguments.



Stop hate, let others live the life they were given. Everyone has their problems, and no one should have to feel ashamed for the way they were born. Erm...you do know that if the Wii outsells the 360, even if it's by one unit, the gap increases in size, right?

Dunno if anyone else posted it but these are the sales from this week last year

Wii - 82k last year, 183k this year. Which means Wii is UP 101k. Awesome.

PS3 - 107k last year, 98k this year. Which means PS3 is DOWN 9k. Not too bad.

360 - 72k last year, 142k this year. Which means 360 is UP 70k. Awesome.

So good sales for the Wii and 360, both posting pretty much 100% increase on this time last year. PS3 is down but only by 9k, that is not a lot. But we now move into a lot lower sales period where in a few weeks 9k will be seen as a lot.

Interesting to see the PS2 sales almost matching PS3 sales. PS2 was awesome.
