No, this is actually looking pretty fantastic. They are doing very well in Japan considering the number and nature of the games they're releasing.

6 out of 10 are remakes...

They didn't have any mainline games from those series last year either, but they were able to sell almost two times as much software. Plus they were only behind Nintendo as far as Publisher rankings.
It's really amazing though how they can keep selling remakes and spin-offs.
Also, why do you say only an extra 100-150k for PS3 versions? Is that accounting for lower sales on the 360, or do you actually think they'd sell about the same if released at the same time?
i dont see the world ends with you, and we know it sold atleast 200k

It came out in 2007.
According to VGChartz, it sold 4300 copies this year.

It's true they did not. They did, however, have a load of FF spinoffs all of which have obviously performed well. While 2008 was pretty much only about DQV remake and Dissidia.
If TLR would release on both platforms at the same time its 360 version wouldnt get the sales it has now. So overall I believe the sales of the game would be 100-150k higher.

10 million seems to be a bit ambitious although DQIX, FFXIII, DQVI and FFCC (on both Wii and DS) should sell close to 8 millions. (assuming FFXIII makes it out this year)
MikeB predicts that the PS3 will sell about 140 million units by the end of 2016 and triple the amount of 360s in the long run.

The irony is that it's a Japan only chart and they don't have a single game in the top 10 for the 2 most important consoles.
It really seems like SE lives of their ports and remakes. The thing is they can't continue like that forever...

"In video game terms, RPGs are games that involve a form of separate battles taking place with a specialized battle system and the use of a system that increases your power through a form of points.
Sure, what you say is the definition, but the connotation of RPGs is what they are in video games." - dtewi
