Let's see what the financial results are next quarter before deciding how much trouble they are in. I think they should mostly be fine. They have already blown the masses of money on R & D on the PS3, so the should not lose that much more money if the new price of manufacture reports of the PS3 are true

I think we might see the purchase of Insomniac, and then a merger with Naughty Dog to put them in the same building, they should maintain separate brands but it should cut costs down a little. They are located in the same area I believe, and are very close, and sharing assets will be even easier when they are in the same building

I think in the long term, the PS3 is going to be Sony's primary console for at least 6 years, so I just think they are going to delay the PS4, because by the end of the gen, they should be making more money on PS3 and they should make up all the money

Business as usual is not possible, I just put it there as the other extreme option.

IMO Sony would go bankrupt in 1-2 years if they chose that path. They have around $7 billion in cash which doesn't last forever under a 10-30% drop of their revenue due to currencies, plus another drop due to falling electronics demand.

Something big will have to happen besides the already announced layoffs...

In case you haven't noticed: of the big 3 Sony is the only one that is in major financial trouble. Don't act like the whole world is against Sony all of the time, it's pathetic.

I think SCE will see major cuts, especially because it's Sony's worst performing Division for the last 2 years. Other Division weill see cuts as well.

This is a website primarily about the gaming business, that's why. Whether you like Sony or not, this is an important topic and it's nice to have peoples' predictions in advance.

Truth be told you come off more of an Xbot then i come off as a fanboy via you're posts and your new Avatar, you dont see me slapping a Sixaxis or Dualshock 3 controllers symbols on my sig or avatar do you?
