Forums - Sales - Greenberg: Wii, Xbox 360 are really the two big winners but not for PS3

Well well well, Microsoft is getting quite cocky. Right now they are just stating the obvious, but they might end up as arrogant as Sony.

If I were them I would keep it clean. There is no damage control when blowback happens. Plus, their user base is the eldest of all three consoles, it doesn't care as much about what company wins as much as what product suits them best. There will be no MS defense force the way there is a Sony defense force.

God i hate fanboys, almost as much as they hate facts

"These are franchises that were frankly, built on the PlayStation platform"

So he's basically owing M$'s success to Sony?

Yes, as he should.

And MS can talk whatever shit they want because Sony apparently can't lower their system's price.

No... It makes no difference where the franchises came from. What matters is that those franchises exist and they are on MS consoles as well right now. Everything else is secondary.

Microsoft has always been nice to Nintendo since this gen started. I don't think they give a rats ass that the Wii is leading the pack.

Microsoft as a company has always been arrogant, but yes they need to be careful they don't fall into the same trap that Sony and Nintendo have.

@your sig:  That's hilarious. My daughter loves that show.

@ lurker: They have no other choice (just like Sony). Why wouldn't they be nice to the Wii, since they're both being demolished by the wii.

Btw, with his jabs towards the PS3:

So much for "i rather talk about my own console than about the other one"? :)

Another marketing airhorn it is...

Lol. Haven't heard him being so talkative before the price drop when PS3 was constantly outselling the X360 earlier in the year.

Funny how big corporations are paying so much for guys to shit talk all day.

Neck and neck? They were getting hammered until they reduced the 360 to less than half the price of the ps3....

I believe both were hovering around the same sales figure...

Yeah, same sale figures with the 360 launching over 18 months before the PS3 in Europe...The PS3 outsold the 360 in Europe every week for like forever (end of October 2007 until late 2008)....

Sony started the trash talking recently with their '`were the cheepest' comments.
