The market for HD gaming represents much bigger gaming pie than GC and Xbox 1 did anyways and are definetly worth discussing on their own terms... Yeah that elephant isn't big at all, it just captured 50% of the market really quick, having much larger software sales and will be a bigger influence on the future of gamers and mainstream now. Its no way as important as fighting the HD war because we all know, fighting on the smaller market and not making a profit is how its done.
Now excuse me I'm going to put my head in the sand.
In any case...if you want to discuss wii sales with the HD consoles, make a new thread. Have enough respect not to troll and spread the "Wii rules because it sells a ton...but I play my 360" awareness with every post you make.
How about, ""I play all my systems equally so I laugh at people who think otherwise?"" sounds good?

I think what Disolitude is trying to say is, stop trumpeting the Wii's horn because despite it selling a ton, it doesn't get those "industry leading" 3rd party games. Sure, YOU may get to play them, but that's because in order to you were forced to buy an HD console. But if you only had a Wii, you wouldn't be able to, despite it being this apparent "elephant" with 50% market share.
And in response to the first bolded....sure larger software sales....on games from Nintendo's first party. Abysmal sales from the COD series, NMH, Trauma Center, Zack and Wiki. etc aren't going to be a "bigger influence on the future of gamers" when similar games on the HD consoles sells millions
