If you have a PS2, you can play your PS2 games on...a PS2...I still do it when someone else is using my PS3 for another game or a movie.

no. They said the same in 2006, 2007 and 2008.... and 2008 got GTA4, MGS4 and LBH..... i don't think sony will dominate 2009. But, i guess we'll see

 Either way the answer is the same. You and I both know the PS3 won't dominate the sales charts this year. Another blast of core games that have not stopped the Wii in the past will, shockingly, not stop it from dominating this year. It seems ps3 will likely to failed in 09, so based on last year.

The PS3 will probably surpass the 2009 sales of the 360. No doubt about the PS3 has the best games this gen. Unfortunately good games are not selling consoles this year just cheap price. Poor marketing and its price is their downfall. Also the PS3 is not doomed for 3rd. If they can have a decent price cut and prove to the consumers its graphical power, great online service, and excellent games the PS3 will start ruling the HD console market.

Well bringing back BC would be good. It should have been there all along as it would have improved the PS3 catalog, for those who did not have a PS2, when it was weak. Really though the only thing that is going to matter all that much now is price. The PS3 has a great catalog now, and it is all new to you if you have not purchased a console for this gen -- or you only have a Wii. If they get a first quarter price cut of $100 they will outsell the 360 this year but I doubt they will pass it prior to sometime in 2011.

Actually if the economy stays on the same track for the rest of the year, "witch it probably will" it will probably sell even less than it did in 2008. Witch means it won't dominating anything at all. Will have to wait n see...

I think the ps3 will have a great year. Software library is becoming very diverse and competitive. Factor in Blu ray and the capability of the hardware, PSN, home and hopefully B/C. Should do OK. A price cut would make it very attractive. $100 price cut and sells will soar.
