Yeah, I like it, too. Great list of software for the most part. PS3 needs no saving.

My 2 cents...
I personally see all three system having a great line up in terms of games. Each system has its exclusives to counter the other this year (example: Conduit, halo, Killzone2) with multiplatform games thrown around. As mentioned, with the economy and jobs in question consumer are gonna look for a system that offers a wide range of games with a reasonable price. That why i can see the Wii and 360 doing so well this year. The PS3 needs to get a price cut to help itself and be more appealing to consumers...
in terms of software, there's no competition...sony will dominate again (though honourable mention to the 360 for mass effect 2, alan wake and star ocean...even if 1 of them is on pc, and another will end up on pc).
Full 1080p TV + ps3 = win.
- awesome future exclusives (killzone 2, FFXIIIvs, god of war 3, gran turismo 5, uncharted 2, ratchet and clank future 2, heavy rain, infamous, WKC + psn exclusives). Really, as much as I like the 360's lineup (it's way more appealing than their 2008 lineup) there's no denying that the ps3 takes the cake in 2009 as in 2008.
- awesome 3rd party support: SFIV, tekken 6, RE5, COD4:MW2, prototype, bioshock 2, and likely much much more...
- free online
- blu-ray!!! feel like watching a movie? put in a blu-ray disc and enjoy full HD sound and visuals!
PS3 wins hand down. 360 comes in second place (close or distant 2nd place pending on what eventuates in 2009), and obviously the wii comes dead last again.
As much as we all love to talk about sales, we're consumers and thus, our first and foremost priority is to be entertained and the ps3 will deliever in spades, and then some. However, on the sales side? sony will probably close the gap between the 360, but how much is anyone's guess. Sony doesn't really need a price cut, so what if the 360 has sold more? it's also over a year older and alot cheaper. I'd much rather see sony make a profit/or lose less on every ps3 sold than price cut it and lose more money. 19 million is already a pretty solid foundation for the type of console it is. The wii will continue to dominate in the sales but more importantly, nintendo actually may offer a game worth playing on their console since mario galaxy/smash brawl. Wii owners' might actually have something to play this x-mas (shock horror).
That's my thoughts. ps3 will dominate in games (again). wii will dominate in sales (again). 360 will come in 2nd place (in games), and the ps3 will close the gap on the 360 in sales. Everyone will be happy, but ps3 owners will be the happiest wheras the wii owners be the least as they realize that their wii was made for playing games (uh-hah!!)^^
if your prediction for '08 was wrong. what makes you think that you will get it righ this time?

Man, you could have at least said 'INCOMING' before dropping that Mk. 82. ROTFL!!!!
In what universe is
inFamous + Killzone 2 + Uncharted 2 + Heavy Rain + MAG >>> GTA4 + MGS4 + GT5:P + Motorstorm 2 + LBP + Resistance 2
GT5 and GoW3 will be very unlikely in 2009, but even if they both make it, it's not perse better (system seller wise) than 2008.
I like sony as a company, but come on…the ps3 is a shinny waste and will be a blot on sonys record..it will not turn around and e the end all…that spot is going to the wii…and it proably wont beat the 360 by the end of the gen…..and even f it does it wont be by much
Face it weither you like sony or not does not matter, you should have said if you like the ps3 enter only then maybe you could have gotten the majority of yes you needed to feel better about taking it in tehe pooper from the ps3 and not enjoying your purchase b/c your to worried about having the best machine instead of worryng about weither or not you will be able to fit playing x game into your schedule
b/c that is what a real gamer worries about, not weither he needs to have x, y , or z status machine btw either he can get teoi the last level of x game before having to go to work, or if he could get one more pokemons, or get the last skull in halo, or get to age 25 in wii sports, or finish that boss fight in GOw ….those are the things you should fill your head with
not this petty little bickering about my machines e penis is bigger then your machines e penis and there fore it will pwn all e penis in 09

That line-up is rather weak, I could see a price drop helping PS3 come back to par or above par with 360 though.

No one is denying that sony's lineup is good, i plan to own (and already own) many of those games. The problem is that all those titles represent a very narrow demographic that sony is fighting MS for, and losing. None of those titles offer anything that will expand their target base, sure they will make money by volume sales, but they will sell primarily to PS3 owners, they will not move a significant amount of PS3s off the shelves. Also, do you honestly think that all those titles in 2009 COMBINED can outsell something as massively appealing as Mario Kart or Wii Fit?

I think we have a little miscommunication here.
What I'm saying is that I don't get the massive hype that's given to the PS3's game releases in 2009. It's definitely good, but not by far the second coming of Jesus some people make it to be.
That's why I asked "In what Universe is the 2009 library better than the 2008 one with GTA4 and MGS4. I think sales wise 2008 is by far bigger for Sony than 2009.
2010: Believe: GT5 + FF13 + GoW3
