Forums - Sales - Which will be first in Japan - 3M for PS3 or 1M for 360?

At the rate it's been selling, the 360 would take 10 weeks to reach that mark. The PS3 would take five. Obviously, sales are going to slow down, with 360 going to around 7k a week, PS3 doing around 20k, but I still say PS3.

I think 360 can do it first because of Star Ocean.

Entirely depends on Star Ocean 4, like many posters already said. Expect both X360 and PS3 sales to drop sharply next week.

Xbox will reach 1 million first due to Star Ocean 4. Remember what happened with Tales of Vesperia? Well this is much much bigger than that.

Depends on how big a boost star ocean will give. We may be surprised.

Japanese people are not poverty stricken who purchase the cheapest stuff unlike the NA. FFXIII on 360 in Japan should happen but not day and date with the PS3 version so don't think it will do much when the struggling console gets the game a few months later.

 

FFXIII is a PS3 exclusive in Japan.

For now it is but who knows with SE. People are saying SO4 for 360 will boost sales but people seem to be ignoring Yakuza 3 for the PS3 to boost sales. What is going on there?

Star Ocean 4 comes out a week earlier than Yakuza 3.
