Forums - Sales - Square-enix We need 2-3 million sellers ... NOW

they are already porting star ocean 4 on ps3 anyway. the deal with microsoft never was for it to be a permanent exclusive. just timed obviously, since even they are talking about ps3 version and lets be honest, if they want to make money, 360 is obviously not the way to go. not in japan anyway.

Late ports do a lot worse than simultaneous releases though, so doing it that way just results in less sales overall.

Well if SE would have purchased Edios they would have western devs capable of creating games that sell well. I mean a Tomb Raider game staring Yuna would be awesome.

They just need to make some good games!!! Or they could do more milking of the FF franchise, stuff like Disidea is what should make more of. It is a decent game and the FF brand really helps it sell.

However, they could sell loads from a VII remake, and of course, XIII should sell a very large number of copies WW if they get it out this year. Otherwise, they will only see just over 1m sales of it on PS3 in Japan

Make less games for 360(where their games won't sell), make more games for the Wii(where games will sell), problem solved

We need a spiritual sequel to Terranigma, on the Wii of course.

That explains Star Ocean 4 and The Last Remnant, doesn't it?

Face it, SE, the only games you have that are going to sell those volumes are Final Fantasy games. Maybe Dragon Quest, too.

It's funny to see that the biggest jrpg publisher in the world make their games exclusive to one console that is not popular in japan.
way to go SE.
how about going multiplatform ???(ff13 was the only game where they have gone multi)
give the ps3 some love dammit!!

SE need to abandon the PSP, drop the PS3 and 360 except for MAJOR titles every few years like FF.

The DS has done insanely well for them compared to the PSP. I can't even imagine how much FF7: Crisis core cost in comparison to the FF remakes made on DS. The difference in sales most definetly wouldn't make up for it, even FF12:RW sales will have made a much bigger profit. Considering how big FF7 was, the time spent making the game, the quality of the game and the marketing campaign for CC, the sales were very very low.The advertising campaign in Japan for FF7:CC was truly unreal. So drop PSP development teams and switch them to DS.

Then if they are going to make games like TLR or IU make them for the wii. The larger userbase in Japan will definetly help secure more sales for the games. Plus dev costs will be much lower.

Keep games like FF13 coming as the big technical showcases, however keep the vast majority of the games on the Wii. Oh and any ps3/360 games should be multiplatform unless sony/MS is willing to pay out the nose for them.

Turkish says and I'm allowed to quote that: Uncharted 3 and God Of War 3 look better than Unreal Engine 4 games will or the tech demo does. Also the Naughty Dog PS3 ENGINE PLAYS better than the UE4 ENGINE.

Don't make trash. That simple

THen just release Last renmant for the PS3.....Will not be a million seller but wil get some sales.
