I just posted a story about the Wii in the White house. I'm disappointed that we didn't get a Oprah endorsement for Wii Fit yet, but this might be even bigger. Will a Presidential Wii further increase demand?

You mean, will it become even more impossible to find? God, I hope not. I still need one.

President-elect Obama has a Wii!?
I thought it was just a rumor. A cool rumor, for cool people.
Hey Fishy - bit off topic, but looks like my Famitsu numbers were legit after all - http://www.vgchartz.com/forum/thread.php?id=55959&page=3

You should have PMed me, but I stand by my actions. If you are going to post information like that, you need to reference a source.
On topic now - I don't think so. Wii is already far more popular than PS2 ever was, and it's hard to see it becoming even more popular than it already is.
Only talking about US, of course.
I think the point is moot, given the current shortage. Even if there is a spike in demand, there will be no way to measure it, and thus no way to be sure it's taking place.
Complexity is not depth. Machismo is not maturity. Obsession is not dedication. Tedium is not challenge. Support gaming: support the Wii.

They had a CNN report where it showed Obama playing a wii... in his house... so it's not surprising.
All that surprises me is that it's apparently new? Who's wii did they have before then?

Obama should buy PS3 and enjoy Killzone 2. I don't see Obama playing Mario.
