I just posted a story about the Wii in the White house. I'm disappointed that we didn't get a Oprah endorsement for Wii Fit yet, but this might be even bigger. Will a Presidential Wii further increase demand?

You know i seriously doubt that wii needs any type of effect.

On topic now - I don't think so. Wii is already far more popular than PS2 ever was, and it's hard to see it becoming even more popular than it already is.

Only talking about US, of course.

I think the point is moot, given the current shortage. Even if there is a spike in demand, there will be no way to measure it, and thus no way to be sure it's taking place.

They had a CNN report where it showed Obama playing a wii... in his house... so it's not surprising.

All that surprises me is that it's apparently new?  Who's wii did they have before then?

Obama should buy PS3 and enjoy Killzone 2. I don't see Obama playing Mario.
