if ea puts out a program similar to wiifit,

has tracking, has profiles etc, uses the board etc I'll Buy It.

i have wiifit, like it alot, use it ~2 times a week (trying to get back to 3 to 4 times a week)

i've lost 11-15lbs with it varies depending on how often i use it, how i eat for the week when i weigh myself since i got wiifit.

i want something Better, that uses the board.

I hope EA fit is better than Wii Fit and actually supports the balance board.

Please notice that the idea behind Wii Fit isn't to be a highly sophisticated fitness program, it's supposed to be basics for beginners (and of course to advanced exercisers too for many parts of the game), to get people to exercise and it offers you instant feedback it doesn't even let you to cheat.
Now when you think of it, there propably is a big market for a more "demanding" exercise game that supports the Balance Board (actually, a game that requires BB would propably be the best option here, but it's not likely that 3rd parties are going to make the game, since they don't want to push 1st parties sales and that's where they keep failing).

Why I think these My Coach and other ideas won't get the success of Wii Fit?

Because you guys are already overshooting what Wii Fit is with all your ideas.

Seems like lots of people didn't understand the appeal of Wii Sports or Wii Fit or other Nintendo games in the genre: they are easy to learn, and give instant satisfaction, but are also difficult to master. Wii Fit is a game.

People that buy Wii Fit are not seacrhing for a boring complete fitness program. That's why I was laughing at people that searched for excuses for Wii Fit's failure before its launch. They were citing the same lacks, without realising that they were asking for too complicated things only for people dedicated to fitness.

I also wonder how people can say that Fitness Coach can sell millions, when at the same time you see lots of report of people (mostly hardcore) saying they see most casual abandon Wii Fit after one week or one month of using it, and that it takes dust. If that is the case, there's no chance in hell the same people will go back buying a harder game when they didn't even unlock everything in their Wii Fit.

That's the difference between Wii Fit and a fitness video: it will take longer to "finish" Wii Fit, and you're required to work out to "finish" it (unlock everything).

Also, I'm sure the dedicated fitness market is far lower than the Wii Fit market for casual fitness.



Thanks for the heads up, might look into the PC version when I have an HTPC running in the living room.
