How hard is it for Nintendo to print more MK Wii discs? Or for stores to simply order more for that matter?

It's worth noting that the only game which moved more units than Mario Kart Wii in December was Wii Sports. They shipped a lot of copies.

Also very rarely ever see wiiwheels. only knock offs of the wiiwheel. and one thing I am quite impressed upon for the Wiifit it that have you guys ever heard of a board not working yet? They apparenlty made a good product. |
I've never even heard of a balance board breaking or failing to function properly. And they probably get abused. Mine seems very accurate.
It's very easy to print more discs. In fact, Nintendo /could/ have pressed 20 million discs in a month or two just so they can press other things and not have to press any more Mario Kart.
Maybe stores aren't used to ordering enough copies to keep power sellers like Mario Kart in stock.

apparently not hard at all, they have after all sold 14 million copies in less then a year not to mention also atleast 14 million Wii wheels.
If it isn't turnbased it isn't worth playing

Thats a ridiculous price for Mario Kart, in my local Walmart and FutureShop they have at least 5-10 copies left at a time. MK Wii is a good game but not worth $80 lmao!

I just purchased Wii Fit yesterday at Gamestop. I was looking at some games and someone asked the manager if they had Wii Fit. I thought it was a dumb question until the manager said he had a couple. Sometimes it pays to hang out at Gamestop.
Is part of the shortage due to the balance board and steering wheel? I think that is why they are so expensive on ebay right now.
Thanks for the input, Jeff.

yea, thats great, but they still need to make millions of plastic racing wheels. If they really wanted to kill this shortage problem, they would make 2 versions of the game for the same price. One with a free Wheel, the other without. Then those who don't care about the wheel and just want the game, can get it fast and for the same price.

Another note, the average NEW Wii price has bounced back up to $388. It was close to $250 a little before Christmas.

Sales spikes seem to make the Wii a lot more popular.
Here's a funny thing: My wife is trying to buy boom blox and it is sold out all over town. Toys R Us, Target (all 3 targets) Walmart (all 3), etc. It is outrageous.
