Forums - Sales - Street Fighter IV Sales

Hello everyone, i'm new here and whereas i was reading you for a long time, i just decided to register myself here :)

Thus, i come with an interrogation : how the sales of SFIV are going to be ?

Nowadays, fighting games are not anymore a popular type of games, however there is kind of a resurgence with the release of titles like : Soul Calibur IV, Blazeblue, KOF XII, SSFII hd remix and this new episode of the franchise.

It's a brand new episode of a really famous franchise : however Street Fighter III did poorly for what i remember, but it was released on DreamCast, which didnt help...

So predict the sales of this game first week and ltd

I predict myself sales like those of Soul Calibur IV, a bit higher in Japan maybe.

XBOX 360

WW : 400K, 1,1M LTD

PS3

WW : 500K first week thanks to higher sales in Japan, 1,2 M LTD

What do you think ?

note : excuse me for my bad english, it's not my native language.

Around the Network

Ps3 - Japan - 150k
360- Japan- 40k

Ps3 - America - 210k
360 - America - 320k

Ps3 - Europe - 250k
360 - Europe - 200k

i will say: 1.5 for 360 and 1.1 for PS3.

I expect SF4 to do big numbers. It's an elite franchise and it's about to turn up it's best game in years. It'll be interesting to see how well Capcom markets it.

Don't expect too much. SF3 was a horrible flop sales-wise.

i'll say 800k world wide on both ps3 and 360

Best game of the series tho...

As long as Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe is able to easily break a million on the 360, Street Fighter IV should have even less problems.

1M of sales WW first week

3s was way more complex than SFII and also came out at a time when fighters, esp 2-D, was passe to the average gamer.

SFIV will be a hit for Capcom because it's a repackaging of SFII in 3-D, which is what the average gamer wants even if it bugs a lot of people who actually play SF. Oh, and the online won't completely suck like every other fighter besides SF:HD and VF5 (which no one cares about sadly :P)

P.S. 3rd Strike was released with Hyper SFII for Playstation 2 in, what, 2004, and sold wayyyy better than Capcom thought it would.
