Usualy my friends share the same opinion when it comes to games we all loved SA but GTA4 has everyone split , some say it's a  killer app others say they play it when they have trouble sleeping.

I have yet to  buy gta4 but don't want to borrow/rent it , if you guys think it's good then i'll buy  it.

I think it's pretty awesome. The story and characters are my favorite of all the GTAs.

I would call it a 7.5 out of 10

With San Andrea being a 9.5

And Vice city being a 9

It's fantastic. It's main campaign if you will, if far superior to that of any of the other games, even if it random things are less fun than before

what could possibly be booring about gta4 ?

The fact that cars cant turn corners at high speeds anymore....
Theres no jetpack or cheats.....

(cheats can be used but then you cant get trophies)

Hmm, from my limited experience on the game its a step down from previous entries

Its not as er ... "jump in and have fun" as VC and SA if you get me? I mean its much more story driven. I love it though, can't find fault.

slightly less options than previous GTA's but still very good

GTA IV - 92/100
GTA San Andreas - 95/100
GTA Vice City - 94/100
GTA III - 93/100

In my books its as follows.

GTA3 - 9.9/10

GTA3:VC - 9.5/10

GTA:SA - 9/10

GTA4 - 8.5/10

And I have played them in that chronological order. If you've never played any of them, GTA4 is the best one by a mile.

I just find that they are not adding enough and keeping too much the same.
