Isnt tennis both options? Thought you could move the character around the court if you wanted. Regardless you wouldn't want to if your busy smashing lobs

Speakin of, the jap commercials really got me tweakin for Tennis now. DK was up top along with Pikmin but its Tennis, a full proper tennis game.

New Play Control! Mario Power Tennis for the Wii is a Mario Power Tennis for the GameCube updated with Wii controls. The game features characters from the Mushroom Kingdom, complete with motion-controlled serves and swings. With Wii controls, players can swing the Wii Remote controller to hit forehands and backhands and to apply spin. Experienced gamers can also attach a Nunchuk controller for additional precision.

Yes, I cited in the other thread (which somehow spawned an identical discussion in this later thread, sigh) exactly what you are referring to, ie. the confirmation that the nunchuk will be used in the game for "precision." What I have not seen clearly stated anywhere, however, is that the nunchuk will control character movement, which you claimed as fact. It may be a picky distinction, but basically I'm pointing out that there doesn't seem to be any specific information regarding the nunchuk's role in the game. I'll be quite happy if you find more information, however, as I hope that your conjecture is correct.

According to nintendo.de and nintendo.fr Pikmin will be released in GER/FRA on Feb, 6th. Mario Power Tennis will follow in March (see release lists at the end of the linked articles).
