I'd suggest selling ps3 and using obtained funds to buy x360 aka shooter box since it seems to offer more for your taste with stuff like Gears, Halo , L4D.

Or get Bioshock, CoD 4&5 on ps3

OK, one last suggestion, check out Super Stardust HD. That's a low risk (5 Euros, demo available) and super fast paced game!

Good choice (also Resistance 2 and Motorstorm: Pacific Rift could have been). Have fun with your PS3!

Yes his title could have been changed.  That doesn't change the fact that you told him to not judge games by "demos" which is the purpose of a demo.  If he (and others from what I have heard) are bored by these demos, then Sony should remove them and release better ones.  Demos generate sales, and if the demo is boring, but the game is actually great, it will not get some sales because of the crap demo.

Just don't get CoD4/5 on PS3 if you want to play online multiplayer. Way too much lag since Sony forces Infinity Ward/Treyarch to host it themselves. Those games are best on the 360 with Microsoft hosting.

50% of PS3 to me are better than 90% of wii games, they are not boring.

(note to ninty fanboys, the wiis 10% remaining games are better than 100% of PS3s)

Microsoft integrates the game into all of the standard Xbox Live features for the dev, free of charge.  That means, mute, friends invites accross the system, private chats, etc.  They do use P2P but they still use servers for hosting Xbox Live and mutliplayer enable games.  You have to have servers hosting the P2P program which is the matchmaking system.  This gives a much more reliable experience on CoD4/5 than their PS3 counterparts.

I really have no idea why the PS3 version sucks so much online, because surely they use server based multiplayer for those games... yet the lag is still awful.  Must be the crap matchmaking system.
