Both are pretty much the same. Gears is strictly a cover based shooter, so it's weapons, enemy AI, and such support this. The "Roadie Run", ability to dive from cover to cover, and ability to hurdle from on cover to the next are much tighter. Often, Nathan Drake would dive out of cover and get slaughtered when I was playing. Enemies weren't as smart as Gears's baddies either. But since cover based combat was just part of Uncharted's package (along with exploration and platforming), it's no big deal if it's not the king of every category.
