OH this is very interesting, the PS3 released 3 years ago? You might want to look at up buddy, then again you were so adament about MGS4 going on 360 and that being announced at the VG awards show I get the feeling you made this thread with EVIL EVIL intentions. +_-

 Thats what i said. It is in its 3rd year. It has just had its 3rd holiday season on the market. Meaning the PS3 has been in the biggest selling parts of the year for the past 3 years  (06,07 and 08).

People complain about that fact and try and make the console sound new. It has been out since november 2006. That is over 26 months ago it is no longer new....

Back on topic though people also have to remember IF the PS3 price cut comes in say April as rumoured that is still 4 months of the current trend. If the 360 outsells the PS3 by say 200k (currently over 300k) a week that would mean by April 09 the 360 will most probably have a minimum 9m gap by then. Again a price cut will help the PS3 to increase sales but enough so to sell as much as the 360 currently is? I just cant see it. Even a $100 price drop still makes it around $300 etc.. will the average person who has not bought a 360,Wii or a PS3 yet really want to part with that much cash in a recession year? I maintain what i said before the holidays, holidays 2008 will see the end of the high sales for consoles this generation.

As for the MGS4 announcement i never even said it was going to be announced.......I said Kojima was there and a special announcement was going to be made. I asked if the two could be related.

Well the first was a silly from me, sorry about that one. But the VG Awards announcement, I remember very well you making a thread and saying Kojima was there for MGS4 on 360. I also remember you saying Jack Black would come out on stage with a big 360 suprise being MGS4 on 360. LOL that was some serious clutching onto straws.

So 360 beat PS3 by 320K this past week. Next week should still be a 200K beating so the end of 2008 the lead will be 8.2 million. When does it hit 9 million? I suspect by E3 the lead will be ~9.5 million.

Maybe you should actually read what people write/say before you jump in there with your "your a fanboy" speech. If you cant handle the fact that on a games website there might be some speculation about games then maybe your in the wrong place hey? Hyruken, you made a thread about MGS4 going onto 360 at the VG awards show. People were giving you facts about why it would not happen but you were clinging onto straws, just could not face the fact MGS4 would not be announced for 360.

Listen if you like that game get a PS3, it's extremely sad when I see someone like you on the internet. :(

8 million was what i predicted in my thread a few weeks ago, really not that suprising considering the entry price of 360 combined with financial happenings during this time.

2009 will be interesting on how ps3 pricing goes, but in the meantime it will be even more interesting which console provides the best games.
