Like I said in the other thread, this game won't even sell enough to cover port costs, it'll sell 10-25k lifetime.

Pretty soon Sony will not have any exclusives left except for their first party efforts. It's difficult to sell a system that way. |
It has always been very common amongst 3rd party developers, it was the same in the 80s, 90s and now. It was just the PS2 dwarfed the other platforms in terms of install base, so it had priority and some platforms hadn't an interesting enough userbase.
Console exclusives usually make sense if you do something other platforms just aren't capable enough for (too many sacrifices) or if a console developer somehow invests in your project.
With Final Fantasy Versus XIII an exclusive, Sony has enough games because of its expansion of its first party studios. From first party, we should have Gran Turismo 5, God of War 3, MAG, Uncharted 2, Ratchet Future 2 next christmas (subject to delays) and they are also doing a good job working with other small studios (Ratchet should fall into this category), so we get Heavy Rain, White Knight Chronicles, and those kind of things also gave us LBP!
Let's put it this way, next year, I am planning on getting 2 Xbox exclusive games, neither of which are first party, and both of which are likely to be ported to PS3 (ME 2 and SO4). On PS3, I am planning to get 6

The thread title angered me, but then I saw it was Way of the Samurai, which I have only heard of because I have seen it in the Japan sales.
Yakuza 3 isn't going anywhere unless it sells badly. 100k in a month is not exactly brilliant, considering Last Remnant did that in a week, and WKC did double that in a week.

(looks at wii) ((while they seem to have more games coming out now than before, you cannot deny that people buy the Nintendo mostly for the 1st party games))

This is true. The difference between Nintendo and the HD systems is that they are a gaming only company.
You cannot deny that most people buy the PS3 and 360 for the great 3rd party games. As soon as Sony starts selling it's systems due to it's 1st party games alone, like Nintendo does, then it wont matter when game's exclusivity is taken from them.

This game will not sell a million worldwide. But with the 360 port and possible western localization it will sell much better than on the PS3 only in Japan. If the extra effort translates to more sales that increase profit than it will be worth it. And if this is the case other 3rd party developers will have more reason to follow suit. The more the merrier I say.
What about Bioshock, Eternal Sonata? Just the other way.
LOL. At first I thought this could be Yakuza 3 which would have actually mattered. Way of the Samurai 3 is irrelevant beyond belief. Goodness me, majority of the west off the internet would not even know what the series is let alone actually care about it.

Sony has a division dedicated to gaming (SCE) which is bigger than Nintendo.
"As soon as Sony starts selling it's systems due to it's 1st party games alone, like Nintendo does"
-Sony will never soley rely on first party.
-Nintendo doesn't rely largley on 1st party intentionaly , it's more to do with the platform being unapealing to 3rd parties.
-Most of nintys sucess with the wii lies in the hardware not th software.
many of your arguments are flawed and (or) unfounded , for the most party inspired by your support for nintendo. You make so many asseertions yet you can't irrefutablly back up a ssingle one.
