Are you freaking serious?

Those kind of WRPG have absolute shit for storylines. I seriously hope they don't do that.

I'm not saying that they should try it with Final Fantasy or anything, but it wouldn't hurt to do it with a new IP.

That is fine then.

I just do not want to see JRPG become WRPG because at that point I would probably be done with gaming. Too much Westernizing going on this gen and it is getting annoying. So much first person, so much guns, so much blood and gore and not enough fantasy.

I want my swords that are 2x my heros body.

iPhone = Great gaming device. Don't agree? Who cares, because you're wrong.

Currently playing:

Final Fantasy VI (iOS), Final Fantasy: Record Keeper (iOS) & Dragon Quest V (iOS)

Gears of War 3 will let you shoot Unicorns.  Problem solved.

As long as Marcus Fenix' gun is 4-6x his body length and that unicorn has spiky hair I am good to go.

It's somewhat logical for JRPG:s to have young character, considering the character developement and story.
Usually one of the aspects is to explore the world, the characters in similar fashion as the gamer for the first time you play (through) the game. Being a teenager who doesn't yet know a shit, is a lot more logical character to enter a world to explore, than a guy in his fourties or fifties, who is well aware of the world he lives in. Also, considering that you start the game as a weak character and end up being a powerful warrior/wizard in the end, it's quite illogical for a fifty years old guy to become one, if he isn't that already.

F ucking agreed.

Just to point out that Lost Odyssey's protagonist is one thousand years old and along the journey you meet his daughter and his grandsons. The game performed poorly in Japan but did allright in the West.

I felt there was a line of cheesy "the brady bunch against evil" humor in there they never bothered to exploit, which felt weird considering there were quite some tongue-in-cheek jokes.

Current-gen game collection uploaded on the profile, full of win and good games; also most of my PC games. Lucasfilm Games/LucasArts 1982-2008 (Requiescat In Pace).

What if they made a WRPG styled game with a JRPG art style? Character creation, different paths, deep customization and the like but with huge swords, spiked hair etc...

LO had a Western audience in mind when that game was made.  The art style, the immortal concept, etc. all scream Western audience.

when I saw the title I expected...SE has finally figured that Jrpg's are on the wrong system

This is part of it. I've been playing JRPGs since I was 12. I'm 26 now. I'm pretty sick of cut-and-pasted teenage emo protagonists already.

So true. Characters should be more unique.

Formação do indíviduo, transformação da sociedade.

Yea.....its not the character. Its they shitty game that makes it bad.

Ive played as a kid in a game. I dont like the character but it was one of the best games Ive ever played. Ive played as a teen in game its the best game Ive ever played. Ive played as an old man before its the best game this gen so far.=P
